Manufacturer – PE owned, CHRO search

Situation
Global (Dutch parent co.) PE owned manufacturer and distributor, newly created CHRO position. Worked with Talent Partner in Netherlands and CEO in Detroit to scope a newly envisioned HR leadership role for the organization.

Our Approach
Conducted a national search to find a CHRO with a strong focus on talent development.

Outcome
Three month retained search resulted in successful hire of a new CHRO, reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a new member of the Executive team.

CFO, Private Equity

Situation
Retained to find a CFO for a PE owned entity that recently consolidated a roll up of 3 companies, one in Michigan, one on the East Coast and one in Toronto. This included two manufacturing businesses as well as a distribution/sales arm.

Our Approach
Worked with both the PE firm and the leadership team of the lead division of the group to develop the specifications and goals for the newly created position.

Outcome
Conducted a search resulting in finding a candidate with similar PE experience in Chicago who relocated to Michigan for the opportunity. Assisted in the transition and onboarding by supporting the new person through the process.

DSO Private Equity – CFO

Situation
National private equity owned DSO needed to hire their first CFO. This was a national search for an individual who had worked in PE and with medical or relatable experience. The specification required a high caliber individual capable of helping an organization navigate doubling in size annually.

Our Approach
We found an individual who had PE and medical experience, He was living in the SW US but was from the Midwest. This individual brought significant medical experience within a PE environment.

Outcome
Flash forward 18 months, the organization is on track to recapitalize in large part due to getting the right team in place. This also involved us being retained to fill a CHRO role and that person is also up and running.
