Situation
Retained by a partial ESOP, partial privately owned, middle-market manufacturer to perform a confidential CFO search. This hire was part of a continued process of upgrading the talent in the C-Suite.
Our Approach
The company is projecting to double in revenue over the next several years and the current finance team is not resourced or performing adequately. Goal is to build a best in class function.
Outcome
Search resulted in recruitment of a high performing, female CFO to join the executive team and lead the rebuild of the finance function. This process is underway and has already made significant improvements.

Situation
Retained by a 70% PE, 30% private investor owned, $1B company to find a potential successor to the CFO who plans to retire in 2 years.
Our Approach
Company has quadrupled in size in the past 3 years, through both acquisition and organic growth. Only one member of the current finance team is viewed as a potential successor to the CFO.
Outcome
Recruited an executive from an adjacent industry to this client. The new person has ramped up quickly and is viewed as a strong contender for succeeding the CFO.
Chief Financial Officer
Situation
Newly appointed CEO of large, statewide nonprofit organization retained us to help them find a CFO to help develop a next level financial function. This was a critical step in rebuilding the CEO’s team.
Our Approach
We developed a strong slate of candidates who possessed the necessary skills, industry experience and passion for the mission of this organization. Three final candidates went in front of the leadership stake holders. We helped guide the interview and evaluation and decision process.
Outcome
We were subsequently retained to help find a CHRO and successfully completed that search as well.
